Komodo dragon's virgin birth, as forecast in the Book of Revelation.
I mean, the keeper even said "We certainly won't be naming any of the hatchlings Jesus"!

I saw that yesterday! I thought it was very cool. They don't know if Komodo dragons have always been able to do this, or if this is something new. :-)

And, yes, I loved the "Jesus" quip. Too bad Dec.25 is too early for the hatching. ;-)

Some female members of Phylum Reptilia have been known to be able to do this sort of thing for years. This is the first time it's been known to happen to a Komodo Dragon, but that doesn't mean it hasn't happened before.
