Actually, of oatmeal. Unfortunately, I left it in the microwave about thirty seconds too long.

Like a good employee, I cleaned up the overflow from the glass plate. After I ate the remainder, I had to chisel off the dried bits from the outside of my bowl.

I eat old fashioned oatmeal, cooked in the microwave. As long as I don't forget to tell it 50% power, it doesn't boil over.

Was this instant oatmeal?

It's a steel-cut oatmeal that's semi-instant. I've made it before in the microwave; I just let it go too long this time.
