We've been living together for years now. There are always stresses involved, even when you know the person so intimately. And I don't share personal space all that well.

This has been a tough road and even tougher year. I appreciate what you've done to try to make this work. Ultimately, it's tough to admit that we should split up, but it's not really a difficult decision to make.

It's hackneyed, but I really would like to stay friends. I don't want to lose that part of the relationship.

Yes, our condominium conversion is finally complete! The four of us (me, donata, j_i_m_r and the fuzzy upstairs neighbor) have legally split our two-flat building into a two-flat condominium complex.

No, donata and I are not splitting. Thankfully, we're both still attached to each other.
