Simultaneously elegant and pathetic.

Yesterday was a good, if strangely tiring day - we started out at 8:15 AM with a large group of people to the Made in France warehouse, where I spent too much money on really good French cheese and wild boar sausage and cornichons and wine. Then to Incanto, to pick up our bi-monthly box of tasty salted pig parts. Then to the farmer's market at the ferry building, where we ambled all around. Then to Just for You, one of our standard local breakfast places. I think it was close to 1 PM by this point. Then back home, where we lolled around and discussed SCA food things and random other stuff. (
ldyanna and I vaguely starting hashing through our joint A&S class.)
bonacorsi was completely done in, so she lolled solitarily.
We thought about dinner around 7 PM, but neither of us was terribly hungry and I really didn't have any ert. So we dined on a cold charcuterie meal of house-baked toast squares, one of the French cheeses, cornichons, olives, capocollo (air-dried pork), head cheese, and salami. If I'd thought of it I might have sauteed up the agretti from our CSA box, but that would have been work so I don't know if I would have followed through.
Lots of stuff to do today, though. I didn't accomplish anything I'd planned yesterday, like trenchers. Still, a good day with friends.
