Tales of the Kitty

Like many cats, Galen likes to cave. This winter he's established an early-morning routine: he grooms my face (anywhere from two licks to a ten minute sandpaper wash). Then he moves on to my hair. Then he burrows under the covers. It'll be interesting to see if he continues the latter when it warms up.

Eurydice likes to wash my face in the mornings. She waits until she hears mastersantiago start the shower, then she hops up on my chest and starts purring like a diesel engine.

One of the reasons I put up with the sandpaper bath is the adoring look and heavy purr when he's grooming me.

Misty burrows in the covers too. I've never had a cat do that.

Saturn loves noses. He will lick anyone's nose off given the chance. And we surprised him this evening when we threw off the covers to change the sheets.
