This week's Resolution Recipe: White Wheat Chocolate Chip Muffins.

1/2 cup butter (I used 6 Tbsp)
1 cup sugar (I used 3/4 cup)
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp vanilla (I doubled to 2 tsp)
1/2 tsp cinnamon
2 large eggses
1/2 cup milk
2 cups white wheat flour (that makes it healthy, right?)
12 oz chocolate chips (I didn't double, and a good thing too.)
pinch sugar for topping (I used vanilla sugar)

Heat oven to 350. Cream the butter until fluffy. Beat in the sugar, baking powder, salt, vanilla, and cinnamon until fluffier. Beat in the eggses, then stir in the milk. Mix in the flour then the chocolate chips. Spoon the batter paste into greased muffin pan. Sprinkle with a little sugar and bake for 30 minutes until a cake tester comes out clean. (A little chocolate is okay.) Let cool for five minutes and serve.

What worked: Pretty (see pictures). Rich. I was glad I cut the butter and sugar. They were much better cold, oddly enough.

What didn't: I could have cut the sugar farther. Too rich, really.

Will I make them again? Doubtful. I'll get my empty calories elsewhere.
