Way to encourage conservation
Jan. 15th, 2004 07:40 amI belong to the local power conservation co-op. We don't get a break in rates, but we do get to buy discounted light bulbs. Every once in a while we get a call asking us to conserve on a high-demand day.
They called offering us a free motion-sensor installation for our porch light. Seems reasonable – it uses less energy, their goal, and is convenient for us. We scheduled them to come by yesterday afternoon. I hurried home to be there on time.
And they never showed. Yes, I know they're a non-profit, but that doesn’t mean they *have* to be flaky... (sorry,
