We had to install a toddler-lock on our study door some years back, because Galen figured out how to open the levers. This worked all right but the cheap white plastic was less than esthetically pleasing. And eventually, it broke.
The wife had the idea of testing out an oval doorknob instead. They are easier on the hands (the basis behind levers) and more importantly for us, cannot be opened - so far - by clever kitty paws.
