Had a pleasant evening last night with the fuzzy upstairs neighbor. We met at Le Central, a bar/grill near Union Square in SF. Much chattage, a yummy cassoulet that they've been cooking continuously for something like 28 years, and a nice bottle of wine. It's a place that his Williness, Da Ex-Mayor, still frequents.

The downside, of course, is that I didn't get to bed until 10 PM. I'm rather bleary this morning - not hungover or anything, just suffering from lack of sleep. I was tired enough that I completely forgot to pick up the paper on my way out. You know, the one sitting in front of the door. Just as well that I don't do this sort of thing very often!

The ability to do so is a nice side benefit of living in the city, though. On that subject, we're going to the Cartoon Art Museum tonight for a celebration of Dr. Seuss' 100th birthday, with "celebrity readings". And then to the Reduced Shakespeare's Great Books show tomorrow!

Oooooh! Reduced Shakespeare!! I saw them in London once, and just adored it.

I guess there are some definite advantages to living in the City, huh? :->
