Friday the wife and I went out for a belated birthday dinner. We went to House of Prime Rib, because growing up in this area meant that whenever we took 101 north we drove past it on Van Ness. We always wanted to go there. So, we finally did.

It was nice. Not spectacular - the open floor plan meant that it was loudish instead of intimate, but it wasn't so loud that we couldn't converse. Excellent prime rib and the gibson I had was superb (and huge). We were overdressed compared to most customers. I felt like it was more of a tourist destination than a locals place. I wouldn't necessarily go back, but I don't regret going.

Saturday, the wife and I had a somewhat hideous trafficky drive to [livejournal.com profile] etaine_pommier's place. But we had a lovely dinner with her and J!, Jean Guillaume the apprentice and Sophie. Much good chattage, wine, and food.

Sunday was rehearsal. It went pretty well but was tiring.
Back to work now - lots to do.
