Erinwood A&S was fun.

We got a later start than planned; our craptastic internet service was down most of the day, and I was trying to get work done. I failed. I called to complain and a tech came in after we'd left, but the fuzzy upstairs neighbor let him in. He replaced our router and modem (again!) and it's working for now, but we'll see.

Anyway, it didn't really matter. There weren't very many people onsite when we arrived. We put up our pavilion and helped set up the site. I kind of wish we'd simply brought our dome tent, as many others did. There were maybe four or five pavilions total? But lots of good chattage and drinkage. It's really neat to be able to actually see the Milky Way.

Disaster averted when, en route, I realized I hadn't taken the caul fat from our freezer. This is a slight issue when I planned to teach a class on meatballs wrapped in caul fat. Again, a quick phone call to the FUN resulted in them bringing it Saturday morning. Whew! Classes were good and it was a relaxing day followed by a splendiferous potluck. Lots of compliments on my (meat)balls from the class. My strawberry pie was a bit grainy (too much rice flour to thicken) but still good. There was some leftover, which we happily ate for breakfast Sunday. Packing, site breakdown, then a drive home with too much time waiting on the Bay Bridge. But we were home in time to watch the Giants win, so that was all good.

I'm still twelve. These jokes just don't get old.
