Aeron, Air Off
Jul. 13th, 2018 07:50 amI have a fancy-schmancy Aeron work chair in my office at home. It was liberated from the former parent company when they shut down the office. (With their permission, I add.)
A couple years ago the catch on the up/down lever stopped working; the chair would sink all the way down, which is a bit too low for my desk. I employed a low-tech solution: a plastic C-ring that clamped onto the chair spine, preventing the seat from sinking. It worked well enough and even though I couldn't adjust it anymore, I really didn't need to.
This week the plastic finally broke. I am sitting on a too-low chair. Guess I have to break down (much like the chair!) and buy a new office chair. Oh well - at least I can bill my personal corporation for it. [Granted, still my money.]
