Aug. 22nd, 2018 07:56 amYesterday I developed a mild migraine - really, more of a persistent sinus headache - and it just wouldn't go away. I finally nuked it from orbit about 1 AM when the functional brain won the argument.
Pain brain (every time): "Don't take the Excedrin with caffeine. It'll keep you from sleeping."
Functional brain: "You're already not sleeping due to the headache. Shut up and take the pill."
Tired and residual headachy today. Working from home was not an option though; today is the one day of the week the other partners come in and we have Things To Discuss.

Date: 2018-08-25 01:41 am (UTC)I used to think it was just that my migraine medication was prescription and I started it back in the day when I didn't have any medical prescription coverage and not much of an income. At $16 a pill I couldn't quite bring myself to take it unless I was *sure* it was a migraine, which meant waiting until the pill could no longer abort the migraine, it just made the pain bearable....and then convincing myself that it was bad enough *while* in pain.....ugh.
