This week's Resolution Recipe: Pork Egg Roll in a Bowl.

14 oz bag coleslaw mix (I used: one tiny head radicchio and one tiny head cabbage, both minced.)
1/2 cup onion, diced
3 cloves garlic, minced (Ha! I used... more.)
2 Tbsp sesame oil
1 pound ground pork
1/2 tsp ground ginger (I likewise used... more)
1 Tbsp garlic chili sauce
3 Tbsp soy sauce
1 Tbsp rice vinegar
5 green onions, sliced on a bias
2 Tbsp toasted sesame seeds

Heat sesame oil in a very large skillet over medium high heat. Add the garlic and onion and saute until the onion is translucent. Add the ground pork, ginger, chili paste, and salt and pepper to taste. Saute until the pork is cooked.

Add the cabbage, soy sauce, and rice vinegar. Saute until the cabbage is tender. Top with green onions and sesame seeds and serve in bowls. Serves 4.

What worked: It was okay. It used up the head of radicchio and was colorful. It wasn't that interesting until we added a blop of hoisin sauce.

What didn't: This sort of recipe is sorely lacking in crunch. The won ton wrappers really make egg rolls.

Will I make it again? Possibly; it's pretty easy, even if I am shredding my own cabbage. It'd be better with a side dish of samosas or something for that crunch though.
