madbakerThis week's Resolution Recipe: the Kaieteur Swizzle.
3/4 oz lime juice
1/2 oz maple juice
1/2 oz falernum
2 oz blended rum
2 dashes bitters
mint and nutmeg
Combine all in a highball glass, fill 3/4 full with crushed ice, and swizzle to combine. Top with crushed ice, and garnish with fresh mint and a bit of grated nutmeg.
What worked: A good modern tiki drink that's easy to assemble. Easy to drink and a nice flavor for a warm summer day.
What didn't: I forgot the nutmeg. I had to crush the ice in our drink blender, which doesn't do a consistent job.
Will I make it again? It's gone in the repertoire, although it probably won't be a regular.
