Restaurant Support via Takeout

It occurred to me that I could do a couple-sentence review of the places we are supporting by weekly takeout. Because some of them are places we might never have tried otherwise, and what the heck. I'm going to crib from my Resolution Recipe format.
Last week we ordered from Monk's Kettle. It was the day we had Galen put to sleep, and neither of us was in any shape to deal with cooking. And comfort food sounded very good right then. I ordered a chicken sandwich, the wife a burger (she's been craving burgers), and we got a side of brussels sprouts. Plus a Fuller's ESB for me and a Sonoma cider ("Save the Gravenstein", which is a good cause) for her.
What worked: We like Monk's. Realistically the only reason we support it is because our friend Rachael is the chef there, but they do have a very good beer selection that I enjoy. The burger was apparently good. My sandwich was okay - just okay. The brussels sprouts were fabulous as always, and the beer and cider were both good.
What didn't: I forgot to ask for the included avocado on the side to give to the wife. (I don't like avocado; like many of my food weirdnesses, it's a texture thing.)
Will we visit again? We probably won't order from them during the current crisis; they are doing well enough that I would rather support other places right now. But we will visit when they re-open.
