Tired today - it's been hard to sleep well with the heat. Of course Beatrice jumped up on the bed shortly after my alarm went off, and cuddled up next to me while purring. Not like I wanted to get up before that but it made it more difficult.

I actually had to come into the office to meet someone later today, so that meant a more rushed morning as well.

Ours used to be trained to the alarm clock as well. They knew if they bothered us significantly before, they might get sleepily shoved off to one side or even off the bed (it happened, don’t judge). They would jump on the bed but quietly, and wait. As soon as the alarm went off, they would start loudly purring.

Essentially, they trained US to set the alarm 10 minutes early so we could snooze it and pet them before getting up. Sneaky catses.
