Mar. 8th, 2021 08:12 amAfter making a salt cure mix for pancetta (now hanging in the oubliette), I was low on the coarse salt I use for such things. The wife bought more on the last grocery run and I emptied the box into the plastic container.
This morning, I discovered that I had actually emptied the box of salt into the identically-sized, but clearly separate, container of caramel sugar. There is a distinct layer at the bottom.
