aimeric visited yesterday, which was fun as always. He came in the front door with the wife, and Miss Bea ran over to the landing to greet what she thought would be only the other monkey.

Bea slowly retreated as he came up the stairs, maintaining a proper COVID 6' distance. When he came around the corner Bea uttered a low growl - and then bolted under the bed.

Ah well. It's a slow adjustment process that may never fully happen. Galen, after his initial kitten friendly year, turned full-time scared of anyone who wasn't us.

I think it's a COVID-kitty thing. We got Ari right about the same time and he behaves similarly, thanks to lack of socialization. My cousins were visiting last week and both the older kitties greeted them right away when they arrived, but it took Ari 3 days before he stopped hiding from them. He needs more socialization.

She had her dinner in sight of the upstairs neighbors last Sunday. We're going to gradually move her food dish closer and then into the kitchen on those nights.
