Oh, No, I said "Steamed Hams"

This week's Resolution Recipe: Steamed Clams in Black Bean Sauce.
2 Tbsp veg oil
2 cloves garlic, minced (Ha! I used... more.)
bit of fresh grated ginger
1 quart clams, in shells, rinsed and drained
1 Tbsp black bean sauce
2 Tbsp sherry
Heat a wok and add the oil. Add the garlic and ginger. Add the clams in the shell, and toss them in the oil. Cover and steam for a few minutes. Mix the black bean sauce and sherry. Pour this sauce over the clams and continue cooking until all the clams are open, about 6 minutes. Be careful not to overcook. Serve the clams in the shell.
What worked: Easy enough and quick. It tasted fine. It generated a fair amount of extra liquid that I am saving for a future shellfish (or maybe cod) risotto.
What didn't: Eh, not that thrilling.
Will I make it again? Maybe; I'm more inclined to make pasta with clams, but this was okay.
