The joys of having a feline owner

Cat logic. Yup, know that one.
We brought home some new toys for Galen - new attachments for the cat fishing line, a glove with bells on the ends, and, most importantly:
New batteries for the little-pink-dot-inator. (Also known as a laser pointer.)
He liked them all. A lot. So much so that he was over-stimulated and didn't wind down until 2 AM.
Catch-22: if we don't play with him, he thrashes around the house all night. If we play with the old toys, he’s bored, doesn't play as much, and then thrashes around all night. If we play with the new toys...
