Galen the kitten has apparently learned how to open interior doors - they are levers rather than knobs, so if he jumps accurately enough he can land on the lever to depress it. Then his weight as he impacts the door nudges it open.

Not a stupid kitten. Which is good.
But nothing is safe now!

Speaking as someone with child-proof locks on the cabinet doors
(to protect them from Oberon, the Mighty Hunter)... I can quite
totally relate.

Ah, though now he is working on just the right way to take on those nasty exterior doors next so that he can be a great and noble explorer!
