Fellow alum makes good, I guess.
Apr. 15th, 2005 07:56 amI actually went to an alumni event last night. I don't normally do this - I can count on one hand the number of fellow alums that I keep in touch with. But the alum hosting the event is on the San Francisco Board of Supervisors, and so it was held at City Hall. We got the private tour of the Council Chambers. Also munchies and drinks in his office; I want a job where my aide serves drinks to my friends after work.
The other reason I went was that the speaker, an econ prof, gave a talk on "Deciphering Alan Greenspan". I do that sort of thing in my day job so I enjoyed the talk immensely. If you're not involved in the markets, it would have been terribly boring.
In other news, our computer seems to be on the fritz again. No e-mail or webcomics over the weekend. Aargh!
