Soggy, but *still* better than going to work

I met a friend for the Giants game today. She didn't have tickets, so she went to the box office and bought two -- which turned out to be in the Padres' wives/girlfriends section.

Behind first base, first row. Within literal spitting distance of the field. I could have thrown my cell phone into the Padres' dugout and hit someone. Tres cool. I forgot to bring the digital camera, but that's just as well since it rained. Drizzle in the third, soggy by the fourth. Naturally it cleared up afterwards. I'll have to replace the library book I brought, which got thoroughly soaked. Oh well. It was a grand day. Oh, and the Giants won by seven or eight runs.

My enthusiasm was only slightly dampened by Galen eating my shoelace. The one still on my shoe. Sigh.

Dude! I usually sit about 3 rows back from that. Today we were sitting with a client, so over a section (other side of the fence) and in the 12th row. You were RIGHT near me. It was an awesome game.
