Long Live the Coffee Maker

The coffee maker is not dead. It did not work yesterday because I kept plugging in the waffle iron, instead.

In my defense, it was 4:45 AM, the counter was crowded, and I did not sleep well.
(...And, I'm an idiot.)

...since I've switched to morning espresso/latte's, I've been just waiting to wake up one morning realizing that I've steamed my coffee grounds and dribbled hot water into my milk.

I haven't yet, but I've done similar sorts of things like leaving the grounds in the portafilter all day and not wiping the milk off the steam wand. Cleaning these instantly is normally habit, but...

One day I arrived home to find my housemate had left a carefully-coiled belt on the top shelf in the fridge, and the milk carton was on her dresser.
