A local corner liquor store is going out of business - their rent was raised 33% - and so they're liquidating everything at 20 to 25% off.

Too good an opportunity to miss. I picked up my favorite single malt (Lagavulin 16 year), as well as some Macallan cask strength; and, just for the heck of it, a split of Chateau d'Yquem. Okay, at 25% off it was still expensive, but what the heck.

I passed on the $500 Chateau Lafitte though. Yeah, it would have only been $400. Such a bargain.

Nice party last night at M&C's; we haven't been getting out much, so it was good to see people and schmooze in a low-key fashion. Of course, we didn't leave until midnight so I'm dragging a bit today, but what the heck. It was fun.

You MUST tell me where this is. B's not big on the Lagavulin, but I am, and we both are very partial to Macallan.
