Yesterday was a good day to be at the ballpark. The weather was beautiful (if a bit hot -- I sweated off sunscreen and got mildly burned in oddish places, such as the back of my right hand).

However, I bought the tickets preseason, back when everybody thought the Giants might actually not suck worse than a ten-dollar hooker. (It used to be fifty cents, but, well - inflation.)
I got the best seats available: third base side, lower upper nosebleed. I could have gotten better tickets at the box office that morning.

Oh well. It was still a good time with a friend, the Giants actually won, and I didn't go into work. So the day was good.
And today, the wife returns from her family visit!

I was there too.
My company hosted a play day at the park, Section 127.

I thought of you while I was there and wondered if you would be at the game. (grin)

The Giants/Mets game last Saturday was wonderful. The Giants won (2-1), with a very exciting ninth inning (top of the ninth, anyway). We had club level seats, between home plate and the pitcher's mound on the first base side. Very nice. The best part was that there were little menus in the seat cup holders, and if you wanted, a waiter would take your order and bring you food. (You could also go into the glass-fronted club section by yourself.) And afterwards, we got to go to the free picnic on the field, and do things like go in the dugouts and run (or in my case, walk) the bases. Very cool. I'm sorry you couldn't go. I still ended up with one extra ticket.
