Burned but pleased
Sep. 1st, 2005 10:37 amYesterday was a good day to be at the ballpark. The weather was beautiful (if a bit hot -- I sweated off sunscreen and got mildly burned in oddish places, such as the back of my right hand).
However, I bought the tickets preseason, back when everybody thought the Giants might actually not suck worse than a ten-dollar hooker. (It used to be fifty cents, but, well - inflation.)
I got the best seats available: third base side, lower upper nosebleed. I could have gotten better tickets at the box office that morning.
Oh well. It was still a good time with a friend, the Giants actually won, and I didn't go into work. So the day was good.
And today, the wife returns from her family visit!
