Too hot to cook last night

Feeling uninspired, I did a "search the fridge" cold salad:

Spinach, tomatoes, and onions from the CSA
smoked trout and hazelnuts from Trader Joe's
and an herb vinaigrette.

It worked better than I thought. I may have to do this again...

Yesterday I pocketed my fourth public library card.

It makes sense, really. No, really. I live in San Francisco, so I got their card; I work in Mtn. View, so it is easy to go to the Mtn. View and Los Altos libraries. None of the three allow cross-lending. Santa Clara city does, but they also spend far more on new books than any of the others, and they don't cross-lend new books.

Okay, I admit it. I'm a biblioholic. Satisfied?
