cast party
Jan. 18th, 2004 10:08 amWent to The Gaslighter to see some of the Golden Stag folks in the current melodrama production. Quite silly and fun, especially seeing
seamoose playing one of the ugly stepsisters. With beard. I enjoyed myself, although it being the kid's show meant it got a little screamy, and I had an incipient migraine for a bit. But the cast party's hostess gave me some drugs, and things got better.
Party was good too. Lots of drinkage, not quite enough foodage (odd for a GSP party), and huge amounts of good chattage. I enjoyed seeing people that I don't get to spend enough time with since we moved. Heck, I had good chattage with some of the newer GSP folk who I hadn't really met, as I wasn't terribly involved in this production.
The only real downer (literally) was as we were leaving. The hosts live on an unlit street in Ben Lomond - is there any other kind? - and as I stepped off the curb, I stepped into the adjacentboulevard ditch. Went sprawling and felt like an idiot, especially as my wife was just saying "watch out for the ditch"... wouldn't have been so stupid if I'd been drunk, but I wasn't. Okay, it still would have been stupid, but at least there would have been a reason for it.
I bruised my side slightly, but nothing serious. Didn't even break the bowl I was holding. So at least there's that.
Oh, and welcome to
our_meg. Here's the mushroom pate recipe you wanted.
