madbaker: (Galen)
Well, this morning Galen caught the spider that yesterday I was trying in vain to point out to him.

He snapped it up. Decided he didn't like the taste and let it go. Then tried again (on the theory that the flavor might change with another bite, I suppose).
And let it go. So I smooshed it.

I'd say he's learned his lesson, but I doubt it. He'll probably go just as insane over the next spider he sees.
madbaker: (Giants)
I'll be going to the Giants/Red Sox game tonight, courtesy of a broker. And there are at least two more games in the works with others. Can you tell the economy is improving? They have money again to spend on clients! I think I'm on track for eight or nine games this season - more than I've ever attended with brokers. Doesn't sound like much, but that's 10% of their home games.

I'm excited about this game. It's the first time the Sox have played the Giants since the 1912 World Series! And I'll be in another luxury suite, this time next to the press box behind home plate. Should be posh.

Next week, I'm going to my first game against the Dodgers since they played at Candlestick! A good friend had an opening last-minute. It's a night game, so I'll have to take the following day off. But hey, what are vacation days for?
