I just ordered DSL service for the home. our_meg, if you're in that building, please put in a good word for me. 8)

Even better, the company will pay for it. I just have to be a disaster recovery site. Fair trade.

'Course, now I should dump the dialup account and look into alternatives for web hosting and e-mail. Change is good - but sometimes annoying.

Feh.

I am thoroughly fed up with the local power co-op. They have a program to install free motion sensor lights for porches, which reduces electricity use. Good deal all 'round.

Assuming it gets done.

To recap:
Attempt #1 - person never shows up.
Attempt #2 - person shows up, says "I don't have that kind of bulb" and leaves.
Attempt #3 (this last weekend) - person never shows up.

Way to encourage their use, guys.
