Vegetable Royalty!

My dad came into town this weekend, which was nice. We went out for dinner and had much catching-up.
He also brought five (!) asparagus crowns from his garden for us. I'm going to try to plant them today. We may not get asparagus next year - it'll be better for the plants if we resist picking the shoots - but it's much quicker than growing them from seed.
