A few more popped into my head... (here's part I if you need a refresher. More suggestions welcome!)

Jack Chalker: To emasculate one character, change the sex of another, and turn all the other characters into alien bodies. Oh, and have computers run everything.

Terry Goodkind: To torture the main characters incessantly, only stopping the torment temporarily to harangue the reader with political screeds.

Mercedes Lackey: To drain any possibility of moral complexity or character development by having the heroes always doing good things for good reasons, and villains doing bad actions for evil motives.

madbaker: (winslow)

Randy Milholland has a lot to answer for. He has killed too much of my so-called free time. Not only does he draw the sarcastic and hilarious Something Positive, but he brought the following to my attention:

  • Jardinains - Breakout, but with garden gnomes throwing flower pots at you. What's not to like?
  • The remake of Pirates! I wasted waaaay too much time on this in college. How could I resist it now?

Sigh.
