So. I have to go back to the courthouse on Thursday for jury selection. The trial should last about five weeks.

I suspect that the prosecution will dismiss me if I am enpaneled - without me trying to sandbag, like saying "I'm not biased towards the lesser races" or anything stupid like that. But we will see.

If I'm dismissed or not chosen, I'll explain why I think so.

This was a spur-of-the-moment dinner. Next time, if I want to go completely local, I will buy celery at the Farmers' Market and butter from Strauss Farms (in Marin). Maybe finish off with some Scharffen Berger chocolate or local strawberries.

Even without planning it, I think we did pretty well. And - of course - it was delicious.
