I'm still here. And alive.
Oct. 3rd, 2006 09:18 pmI felt somewhat out of sorts this AM - didn't sleep well. It took a while to recover. I ended up getting a late start over to the Cloisters, then hopped onto the wrong train. With everything and also having an early-ish meeting, I bagged it. Thursday. I will get one of the three things I planned to do done, dammit.
Dinner last night with the broker was good - Del Frisco's Steakhouse. Quite good; the crab cake I had was the best I've ever tasted. I don't usually eat that much meat though, which I think was a factor in my poor night.
Which means I need to take care tonight, as I had another steak at a hot new-ish steakhouse, STK. Definitely a "hip" place; odd chairs, throbbing bass line, funky bathrooms. Good steak and the tuna tartare was tasty, but I think I liked Del Frisco's better. Celebrity(ish) sighting: Ron Darling (formerly of the Mets) was at the next table, with his extremely hot model wife.
What I'm reading: Kelly McCullough, WebMage (better than most cyberpunk magic novels)
