Oct. 4th, 2006 09:16 pmDeath March with Cocktails continues - I was in a conference all day. The weather was nice this AM, so I walked the 21 blocks. I was a bit sweaty by the end (yes, Manhattan is flat, but I was wearing suit and tie) but the conference AC was set to meat locker. I cooled down quite quickly.
After the full day thingy, one of the brokers had us walk down the street to Geisha, which is an Asian-inspired bar but you probably guessed that. We got the super-sekret room: go into a very small elevator (fits three) and upstairs. Lots of yummy hors d'ouevres, as well as full bar of course. I tried a cold sake that was pretty good, but didn't drink much other than that. Plain tonic water is a good decoy.
It's raining now, which means the Yankee$ game is delayed. I think I'm going to bed.
