madbaker: (beyond my control)
Yesterday's "minor dental surgery", also known as "root scaling and planing", was fortunately not as bad as the explanatory CD led me to believe. Oh, it wasn't fun - but it was more a standard dental appointment squared, using local anasthesia and a crab pick, not a belt sander as I expected.

Granted, I was pretty swollen yesterday: I have the inverse of Wolverine's power* but I was prepared for that and iced my cheek most of the day. Today, I feel okay. I'm not chewing anything today and I've taken some Tylenol, but I'm all right.

Now I just have to not stress my body by overdoing it with the Beltane packing.

Earlier today, I was hauling boxes and rugs and poles and such from inside the garage to inside the car (which was parked in the driveway). Two nattily-dressed Seventh-Day Adventists walked by and greeted me. One offered to help move things.

I told him no thanks. I was only hauling fifteen feet or so, and they only would have been moving things to just outside the garage.

...Hey, it was amusing at the time.
