(Non) Caffeinated Turgid Drama

After locking up the gate this morning, I managed to completely up-end my coffee mug over my briefcase. Completely in the sense of ass-over-teakettle, not drain-out-completely.

I have no idea how I managed to do that. Of course, I hadn't had any coffee yet. Now my briefcase has a large stain to add to its collection.

Freddy Garcia Lewis, in his fourth game in the Show, hits for the cycle. The first time a rookie Giant has done so since 1972.
And Kevin Frandsen went four for five. I like these young guys.

Moth-ers Day

Edited: duh. Can't believe I missed the pun, so I changed the title of the entry.

mad_duchess reminded me that I hadn't posted this yet. Last night, just before I went to bed, we found a very large moth on the bedroom ceiling. Galen was in the room so we coaxed it down for him to play with it.

He's not a very efficient hunter. Maybe he wasn't hungry. It took him a while to deal with it, and then he was wound up and wanted more... and kept thrashing around the bedroom looking. It's impossible for me to sleep with that happening, so I locked him out.

Which caused him to incessantly thrash at the door. I tried squirting him with the water bottle, but that didn't stop him. He didn't wind down until 2 AM or so. Which is a couple hours before my alarm goes off.

I'm glad Galen doesn't have to be a good hunter, but times like this make me wish he was.
