Yankee$ 7, D'Backs 1

Yankee Stadium was fun. We didn't get there early enough for me to walk through the shrine to past Yankee greatness, but some other time. The weather was gorgeous - mid '60s and cloudy - while in San Francisco, I hear it's in the '80s. This is a role reversal for June.

Anyway. The D'Backs were sloppy and made three (official) errors. We sat behind home plate. Pettitte pitched well. There will be a couple pictures later.

Nearly breaking my cover

Dinner with a broker was at a NY steakhouse. It was quite good, as expected. The wine was a CA cab (Grgich) which I've had before; also good.

The amusing part of the evening was me commenting on the menu: one of the appetizers listed was "Canadian back bacon, per slice." I was informed that this was fabulous and must-try. So we ordered a slice each.

...yes, it was quite good. But no better than what I've personally made.
I managed to conceal this fact - but it was a close thing.
