Sociale-izing
Dec. 6th, 2007 08:45 amHappy Significant Birthday to the Fuzzy Upstairs neighbor!
Last night the wife and I took
j_i_m_r and the FUN to Sociale for their birthdays. This was the place that the wife and I were going to for my birthday, before they couldn't open that night.
Anyway: it was good. It's a small place and was quite full when we left. I'd categorize it as a "local" restaurant, but of high quality. I wouldn't hurry to go back but I'd keep it in mind as a place to take someone. A good date restaurant.
The fud was nice. We split one of their signature appetizers, green olives stuffed with fontina cheese, breaded and lightly fried. Yum. I had braised lamb shank which hit the spot on a cold night.
bonacorsi liked her "brick chicken" which was a nice spicy chicken thingy. FUN and I both had "coffee and doughnuts" for dessert - an espresso milkshake and two house-made cake doughnuts, one coated with cinnamon sugar and the other with a bittersweet chocolate.
A convivial, pleasant evening.
