I wish Wikipedian protesters were really out there during politicians' speeches.

We saw WALL-E last night. The film was decent, and I really liked the opening short.
What made the experience better, though - we splurged a bit and saw it at the Kabuki Theatre here in SF. We reserved two dead center front row balcony seats ahead of time. Due to a miscommunication, we didn't get there early enough to lounge in the balcony bar before the film; but we did get a decent sandwich to munch on during the movie.

Totally worth an occasional premium to not deal with finding seats, screaming kids, etc.

I forgot to mention a slight grump regarding the WALL-E credits. I really liked the evolution in artistic style from Lascaux to Egyptian to Roman. But then why jump to pseudo-18th c. watercolor?

Hello, Bayeux Tapestry followed by da Vinci or other Renaissance?
Yes, I am an over-educated art geek. But come on: those two are in pop culture as well.
