Is there life after debt?

I'm sending off a check today that should pay off the car. More than a year early.
Granted - much of the prepayments were made when I had a steadier (and higher) income. And the debt is a lower interest rate than, say, the student loans I just took out for my MBA. (And we have 20 years left on our mortgage.)
But I'm still glad to have one less debt out there.

Anyone know the original source of the quote "Heavy lies the head that bears the crown"? I thought it was Shakespeare, but I'm not finding it in the Shakespeare search engine.
