Cheeks are good.

This week's Resolution Recipe: Braised Pork Cheeks with Radicchio and Pasta.
This looks like a lot of work, but it's only time-consuming. It was a bad choice for a weeknight, but fabulous otherwise.

Peter Reinhart, a formerly-local baker and bread book author, spoke and signed books at the used-cookbook store a couple miles from our house. Good turnout - about 50 people. I own three of Reinhart's books and I've adopted several of the techniques for baking and pizza making.

It was a fun, bread geeky couple of hours. I wore the T-shirt ppfuf brought back from the Pearl Bakery ("Eat bread."), as did the bookstore's owner.
