[livejournal.com profile] bonacorsi and I had a lovely dinner last night at Incanto. They're doing Sunday/Monday "cucina povera" prix fixe dinners - "poor cuisine", or rural Italian. We thought this would be a good excuse to have a relatively cheap restaurant dinner to celebrate my school halfway point, and her testing out of her Mac classes.

Dinner was three courses: Dandelion greens with anchovy & pangrattato (I may have to try this next time we get dandelion greens in our weekly box)
Mussels, potato & chili (on broiled bread, with a ton of yummy broth)
and a scheduled honey fritter, but perhaps due to the weather was changed to a faboo blueberry sorbetto.

The host was giving us a very small amount of grief for not having a reservation when we walked in. Pity he didn't see the executive chef spot us from the kitchen and wave a hello.
