Mental note for next year: when buying freshly-roasted Hatch green chiles, get "medium" rather than "hot". Yes, you like spicy and in small doses, like the ones you tasted before buying, the hot taste just right. However. In larger doses, like the posole from last night... emergency additions of sour cream and corn muffins needed for others' palates.
