Jul. 10th, 2020 07:04 amToday's Kitten Update: we switched Beatrice and Hildegard around. Bea has spent much of the past week in the bathroom, with some visits in the hallway to get accustomed to the space. Hilde was mostly locked in the front room for Beatrice's sake as Hilde explored the house her first day. Yesterday we gave Bea the front room and let Hilde loose outside it.
So far it's working as well as could be expected; Bea took to the cat condo and Hilde spent some of the night on our bed. They've even played a bit through the door to the front room. The only real downside is that I don't get to spend much time with Beatrice as the wife is mostly in the front room with the TV.
I wonder if Bea is younger than the SPCA's estimate of (now) ten weeks. She only started moving like a cat the last couple days - most of the past week she's been like a guinea pig.
We're going to have to take both in as they have the usual kennel colds. Hilde does not like being picked up and held, which is a major adjustment from Galen the Boneless Wonder.
