Sep. 8th, 2021 08:10 amI woke up before the alarm went off - Miss Bea had jumped onto the bed and was demanding snuggles. She settled into the crook of my arm, belly up. It was a really nice way to transition into the day.
Until I looked at the clock and realized it was half an hour past the alarm time.
I made a tactical gamble: I cut my morning routine a bit short, but didn't rush through panickedly. I left the house only about ten minutes late and went directly to the unreliable backup bus stop. It did arrive around the regular time, and with BART I got into the office right around the point I normally would.
There might be a lesson here. I am going with "not panicking and starting the day with a cat snuggle produced a positive result. This time."
