I bought a nice (not extravagantly expensive, but nice) bottle of Burgundy for dinner tonight. That's why I left it on the kitchen table.

Should have known better.

Galen, he of all-things-vertical-must-be-made-horizontal fame, did his thing.

The impact of a bottle of red wine on the granite floor produced the expected reaction. Crash! Splatter! Glass everywhere!

The cat is fine, although he may not live much longer.

That is the reason I drink wine at my house in juice classes with low centres of gravity.

Red wine is the worst thing to clean up, too. Arrrgh.

Oh, I got that. It's like Katrina to my tropical storm...but yeah, red wine + cat = no good at all.

There's a big frosted pink spot on the hardwood floor of my bedroom in the old house, thanks to the cat knocking a bottle of nail polish from my tall dresser. He did it in the middle of the night and the polish set before I woke up the next morning.
