I hate it when the wind is screamy enough to keep me awake all night. As it has done two nights in a row...

thunder boomy

One of the lightning bolts hit a transformer near the Cow Palace about 10:30 am Sunday and the lights went out in London for 2 hours. Most people waiting to get into the Fair stuck it out. Participants took out umbrellas, gave out hot tea, and sang to the folks stuck in the rain. It was neat inside with only lamps and candles for illumination. I did some hand sewing by the light of an oil lamp, just to see what it was like.
