I believe that according to TSR's Dungeon Master's Guide (2nd edition), page 8, You are obligated to let me play if I ask politely. This falls under the 'introducing new players' rule.
I therefore ask in my most polite voice: May I play, please?
I have not played the Clerical Errors edition, but I have played the standard Munchkin game. The fact that I have not played this edition of yours allows me to fit in under the 'introducing new players' clause. I believe I know all the rules. In fact, I am *sure* I know all the rules, and will make sure that they are followed absolutely to the letter. As long as we all follow the rules, everyone -- and especially me -- will have a great time and enjoy the game.
The problem is more one of coordination... most people don't want to drive to our place in SF on a weeknight - I don't blame them, I can't drive back & forth on a work night either.
I'm perfectly happy to try scheduling something for a weekend. With 4 to 6 people's schedules, we can probably manage something in late 2004...
Pessimism aside, if people are free I'd love to try to work something out.
Wooo!
